The new SIMALFA® Competence Center in Rafz is the world’s first foam bonding demonstration and training facility. Manufacturers can learn more about SIMALFA® adhesives and their application systems in mattress manufacturing and benefit from our experts’ many years of experience. We work together with our customers to find the best SIMALFA® adhesive solution for each specific need.
The added value of the SIMALFA® Competence Center
The original idea behind the SIMALFA® Competence Center was to show the entire bonding process on a production scale. To that end, the Competence Center has been outfitted with a full-size mattress gluing line as well as all different kinds of spray application equipment. From the cut foam pieces to the assembled end product, the manufacturing of a mattress can be simulated. Adhesive demonstrations are usually performed on the manufacturing line at the customer’s location. Today it is no longer necessary to interrupt production to test new products thanks to the technical equipment at the SIMALFA® Competence Center.

In addition to choosing the right adhesive, the suitable application system is also crucial. We can show manufacturers how to design the bonding process successfully and efficiently. Whether roller or spray application – at the SIMALFA® Competence Center, different ways of foam bonding can be demonstrated.

The right equipment
To make your bonding process as efficient as possible, the proper feeding and application system is crucial in addition to the adhesive. At the SIMALFA® Competence Center, we demonstrate the entire bonding process on a production scale, from mattress production with an industrial-scale roller to spray application with different kinds of feeding systems. After you have convinced yourself of our bonding solutions either online or on-site, you will receive a comprehensive documentation about the bonding of your materials in order to support the optimization of your manufacturing process. A demonstration at the SIMALFA® Competence Center helps you making a well-informed decision. We can show you how to design your work processes efficiently, achieve minimum application quantities and handle the adhesive correctly.
